Disney's BoardWalk: Visitors guide

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn guests can swim in this carnival-themed pool that is home to a 200-foot-long water slide.

Walt Disney World is known for being one of the most magical places on Earth, and the Disney BoardWalk is a popular destination in its own right. Designed to mimic famous boardwalks like Coney Island and Atlantic City, the boardwalk stretches to a quarter-mile and looks over the tranquil Crescent Lake. Disney's BoardWalk is full of restaurants and eateries, unique stores and plenty of entertainment. Here's a guide and overview of what to expect before you visit.

As an added bonus, the hotel has two pools and the Luna Pool Park, which features a waterslide and several fun water sprays that are perfect for kids.

The hotel is located at 2101 North Epcot Resorts Blvd. and does offer complimentary bus service to different parts of the park and transportation to and from the airport. Reservations can be made online or by calling 407-939-6200.

Thimbles & Threads carries apparel and accessories for men, women and children as well as Disney souvenirs like plush toys and collectible pins. The boardwalk's Wyland Galleries is home to fine art and upscale Disney collectibles. They carry everything from oil paintings and watercolors to abstracts and sculptures.

Entertainment
Just strolling around the boardwalk is entertainment itself, but the Disney BoardWalk offers everything from dancing to cycling. You can stop into the Atlantic Dance Hall and dance the night away to popular hits from the last few decades, or stop into JellyRolls for a night full of entertainment watching the shenanigans of dueling piano performers. During the day, rent a bike from Surrey Bikes and explore, then wind down and cool off with a scoop of ice cream from Ample Hills Creamery.

If you want to check out other parts of Disney, Epcot is within walking distance and there's a path dedicated to passage between the two. There's also a boat that can take guests over to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Walt Disney World is only 3.2 miles away.
