• FHP: 1 killed in fiery crash on Turnpike

    OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. - One person was killed Monday in a fiery crash on Florida's Turnpike in Osceola County, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said. 

    Troopers responded to the crash about 12 p.m. on the south lanes of the Turnpike near mile marker 244 and Okeechobee.

    TRAFFIC SECTION: Find an alternate route

    They said the crash involved a semi-truck and a car, and that one person was killed.

    Southbound traffic was being diverted off at mile marker 224.

    Troopers are still investigating.

    No other details were released.
