Woman dies after being thrown from pickup in crash on I-4 near Disney World

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A woman died Tuesday afternoon after being thrown from a pickup truck in a crash on Interstate 4 near Walt Disney World, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said the driver lost control and hit a guardrail, causing the pickup to overturn.

He was seriously injured in the crash, which happened shortly before 3:30 p.m. at exit 64, near Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.

Investigators said his passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the pickup.

The crash blocked westbound lanes of I-4, causing traffic to back up to exit 67, which leads to World Center Drive.
