ORLANDO, Fla. — It was a raw and chilly weekend thanks to a low pressure system off Florida’s northeast coast. Not great beach weather as many wrap up spring break.

This compact little storm system has been responsible for nor’easter conditions for parts of the Florida coast this weekend.

Winds have been gusting at 30+mph at some beaches today with six foot waves and dangerous rip currents in the surf zone.

With areas like Leesburg and Sanford staying in the 50s all afternoon, we are on track to set record cool daytime high temperatures in those locations for today’s date.

Over the next couple days, this storm system will weaken and move away. That will result in calmer and warmer conditions day by day for the next three days.

By the end of the week, it’ll feel much hotter, with temperatures back near the 90s by the weekend.
