Central Volusia County in east central Florida... * Until 915 PM EDT. * At 714 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms across central Volusia County. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen in coastal Volusia County, and across DeLand. Some areas near rural north central Volusia have received in excess of 3 inches of rain since earlier this afternoon. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Daytona Beach, DeLand, Lake Helen and DeLeon Springs. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
