ORLANDO, Fla. — A compact tropical disturbance is traveling westward toward the Caribbean. It is currently under unfavorable conditions for tropical development.
The group of storms is forecast to enter the Caribbean by Thursday morning. By Saturday, this system will be enhancing the chance for rain over the Hispaniola, and likely be moving to the northwest.
Conditions could become more favorable over the weekend for this system to develop into a tropical system.
We will continue to monitor the tropics. Hurricane season runs until November 30.
