ORLANDO, Fla. — Update 11:30 a.m.
Tropical Storm Nicolas has developed over the Bay Of Campeche.
We are not expecting this storm to impact Central Florida.
We will continue to monitor it’s progress and keep you informed of any further developemnents.

We are currently watching five “watch areas” in the tropics.

At this time, none are active threats for Central Florida.
Three of the areas, including Invest 93L, are in the far reaches of the Eastern Atlantic, or coming off the coast of Africa.

Closer to home, Invest 94L could become a tropical depression later today.
It is expected to bring heavy rain to the Texas and Louisiana coast this week.

By the middle of next week, we could see some tropical development off the east coast.
