ORLANDO, Fla. — 5:50 pm update:
Scattered storms continue through sunset, hitting some areas while missing others with bouts of quick, heavy rain.
Keep an eye on lightning threats on Saturday and Sunday for any outdoor plans.
Our status quo weather continues on Sunday, with generally quiet conditions in the morning, high heat and humidity midday, with a good chance for scattered afternoon and early evening storms.
Monday and Tuesday will have much of the same weather conditions.
As far as the tropics go, there are no official disturbances for now, but we are keeping a close watch.
Saturday will be hot and muggy throughout the day until seabreeze storms once again kick in.
Storms will develop later today, most not forming until after 3 p.m.
Once the storms get going, there will be widespread storms producing heavy rain, gusty winds and frequent lightning.
High temperatures today will be in the upper 80s nearing 90 degrees, feeling like temps in the mid-to-upper 90s.
