Warm but comfortable for Central Florida; stronger cool-down by the end of week

ORLANDO, Fla. — A high-pressure system is dominating our weather pattern, providing lots of sunshine and warm temperatures.

The temperatures are above normal for this time of the year, but with that cold front pushing over Florida early Monday, it has pushed all the humidity away from the state. This makes temperatures feel very comfortable.

We forecast for the temperatures to stay similar on Wednesday and Thursday, in the high 80s.

Lows will be in the low 70s, but with the low humidity, it will feel very comfortable at night.

On Thursday, there will be a slight increase in showers, mainly affecting Brevard and Osceola counties, these will be scattered showers. Some showers will be possible during the evening across metro Orlando.

The next strong cold front is slated to push through Central Florida late Friday afternoon or early evening. Before the cold air arrives, expect a slight chance for scattered showers and a thunderstorm or two during the afternoon.

Highs on Friday, will reach the mid-80s around noon and continue to gradually fall during the afternoon as the winds shift.

Saturday morning will be cool, with temperatures in the mid-60s for Metro areas, and for rural areas, temperatures could fall to the mid-to upper-50s. Similar temps for Sunday morning.

The weekend looks to be mostly stable, especially on Saturday afternoon, but with a slight increase in scattered showers on Sunday.

In the tropics, forecasters are monitoring a system east of the Windward Islands. It has a 20% chance of developing over the next five days.
