Partly cloudy and hot Tuesday as storm chances increase this week

ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida will see a hot day Tuesday with a chance for some to see afternoon showers.

After a start in the upper 70s, our area will heat up to an average high temperature of 94 degrees.

The heat index, or “feels-like” temperature, for Central Florida will be around 103 degrees.

Just like Monday, our area should see a 40% chance of spotty afternoon storms.

Rain chances are going up starting Thursday and into the weekend as a front to the north draws in moisture to the state.

Tropical Storm Earl should become a hurricane Tuesday.

Earl will be very close to Bermuda on Thursday.

A couple more pressure waves near Africa are also trying to develop.

Thankfully there are no tropical threats to Florida.
