Up, down: Brief break from showers before another cold front moves in

The patchy fog broke up shortly after sunrise, and the temperatures will continue to warm to the low 80s, about 10 degrees above average for this time of the year.
Winds from the south will continue to bring warm temperatures overnight, and with clouds increasing, keeping the warmth trapped, low temperatures will only drop to the upper 60s. More clouds could lead to a slight chance for isolated showers to develop overnight. Thick fog will again develop overnight and dissipate shortly after sunrise.
SUNDAY'S RECORD: Melbourne broke its daily rainfall record with .75 inches, beating the old record of .61 inches set in 1983.
