Son of Orlando commissioner wanted for questioning in high-speed chase

ORLANDO, Fla. — 9 investigates uncovered that the son of Orlando City Commissioner Regina Hill is on the run and wanted by state troopers.

Investigators said Rakeem Hill and three others led troopers on a high-speed chase that ended with a crash.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Rakeem Hill and his friends were in possession of drugs and tried to ditch guns.

Investigators said Rakeem Hill and Alfred Williams are wanted for questioning after that pursuit, but so far, they have not turned up or turned themselves in.

Regina Hill is aware of a situation with her son.

On June 24, a trooper tried to stop a car for reckless driving on State Road 408.

But according to a report, when the patrol car’s lights were activated, the driver of a Chrysler 300 wouldn't stop, and instead sped up to more than 115 miles per hour.

A few miles down the road, the driver crashed into several other cars.

The report said the driver and a front passenger got out of the fleeing car, but not before throwing guns out the window, the trooper said.

A witness inside the car told troopers the man driving was Williams, and that Rakeem Hill was in the passenger seat.

Antonio Knox, one of the passengers who fled, is in the Orange County Jail after guns and drugs were found in the car.

According to his arrest report, Knox didn't provide investigators with any information.

Troopers investigated and were led to an Orange County home.

On Friday, a search warrant was served at a home on Jennings Road in Pine Hills.

Cedric Roden-Rhule was arrested after a stolen AR-15 assault rifle was found, along with drugs, other guns and lots of ammunition.

Troopers were looking for Hill and Williams after a tip told them the duo visit there, but when troopers showed up, they were gone.

Channel 9 has contacted Regina Hill and her aide to ask questions about her son, but she has not responded. Last year, Rakeem Hill and others were arrested after guns and drugs were found during a raid at a home, but the charges against Rakeem Hill were dropped by the state attorney.

Regina Hill's granddaughter was also in the home.
