ORLANDO, Fla. — All 49 victims of a mass shooting at a nightclub in Orlando have been identified.
The men and women were killed and at least 50 more injured, when investigators said Omar Marteen, 29, opened fire at Pulse nightclub early Sunday.
Authorities say Mateen emerged, carrying an AR-15 and fired relentlessly -- 20 rounds, 40, then 50 and more. In such tight quarters, the bullets could hardly miss. He shot at police. He took hostages.
When the gunfire at the Pulse Orlando club finally stopped, 50 people were dead, including Mateen, and dozens critically wounded in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
The club was packed with people when Marteen began firing an assault rifle.
A tribute to those who lost their lives. Whether we know you well or just learned your name, you will forever be in our hearts. Un pequeño tributo para los que perdieron sus vidas. Así no los conozcamos personalmente, siempre estarán en nuestros corazones.
