MOUNT DORA, Fla. — One man is dead and another is in surgery after a shooting near a rave party in Mount Dora, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies said they found two black men who had been shot around 2:30 a.m. along Sheridan Road.
One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, deputies said.
The Sheriff’s Office said the shooting is believed to be related to a large “rave” party that was held in the city of Mount Dora, which was letting out near the time of the shooting.
Mount Dora police said they do not believe this shooting is related to another shooting at a Walmart Friday night.
Major crime detectives and CSI investigators were joining the investigation, deputies said.
