POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Three people are dead following a crash in Poinciana Tuesday night, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
It happened around 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of Marigold Avenue and Bell Tower Crossing East where officials said a red car crossed over the centerline and struck a white sedan head-on that was traveling southbound.
A Polk County Sheriff's Office deputy pulled the driver of the red car, 19-year-old Emmanuel Semedo out of the vehicle and attempted to perform CPR, but he died on scene.
The two occupants of the white sedan were also pronounced dead. They were later identifed as 45-year-old Johana Rodriguez and 43-year-old Ramon Cintron.
The crash remains under investigation.
