Armed, masked thieves rob Orlando La Quinta Inn

ORLANDO, Fla. — Police said they are searching for thieves who robbed an Orlando hotel at gunpoint Friday.

Three masked thieves walked into the La Quinta Inn on Major Boulevard, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash.

The incident scared guests, but they said the clerk kept a level head.

"It was scary, but he seemed to be pretty calm about it. So, we really didn't feel like we were in any danger or anything," said guest John Elliot.

Detectives said they believe the three masked robbers were two women and a man.
