Assistant state attorney demoted over controversial Facebook post to get job back

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The assistant state attorney who posted inappropriate comments about women on his personal Facebook page will get his old job back.

State Attorney Jeff Ashton said in a few weeks, Ken Lewis will return to prosecuting major felony and homicide cases.

Lewis was demoted in May after a controversial Facebook post on Mother’s Day that said, "Happy Mother's Day to all you crack hoes out there... It's never too late to tie your tubes, clean up your life.”

A recent investigation of Lewis’ past cases cleared him of any bias.
