LAKE COUNTY, Fla - The director of Children’s Palace Learning Center in Clermont was arrested after police say they received cell phone video of her abusing a child at the daycare.
Kimberly Marie Reid was arrested Friday at the facility on East Highway 50 on charges of child abuse.
The Florida Department of Children and Families called the Clermont Police Department after receiving two anonymous cell phone videos allegedly showing the abuse.
In the videos, a woman police believe is Reid is seen hitting a 4-year-old boy with her hands and a stuffed animal, and then picking him up and dropping him about three feet onto a cot.
Reid is accused of abusing the child over the course of three weeks.
She is not accused of abusing any other children at the day care.
