ORLANDO, Fla. — Some Orange County emergency dispatchers who helped with both the deadly workplace shooting last week and the Pulse shooting last year got a special visit Sunday.
Three dogs from Animal Assisted Crisis Response spent time cuddling with the dispatchers.
Those who took the calls as a former Fiamma employee opened fire and killed five people more than a week ago spent time with the animals.
“It seems like there is no more good—almost back to back, it's daily and you get little moments. It's like you know we can't change the bad but we can come together and make something greater," said Yesenia Antuna, four-year veteran dispatcher.
Dispatchers are often the last people on the phone with victims and their families after mass shootings.
The dogs also visited dispatchers after the Pulse terror attack.
