Deputies: Body of man, 64, found at home near Mount Dora

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The body of a 64-year-old man was found Friday afternoon at a home near Mount Dora, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

The man, who wasn't publicly identified, was killed shortly before 1:15 p.m., Orange County Deputy Rose Silva said.

Deputies found the man's body in the driveway of the home on Terrell Road near Orange Blossom Trail shortly before 1:30 p.m. while conducting a well-being check, Silva said. %

"This is a death investigation that appears to be suspicious," she said. "The scene suggests a confrontation and what appears to be trauma to the victim."

Silva said the nature of the man's injuries won't be revealed until an autopsy is completed.

The death continues to be investigated. %
