Deputies, FBI search for armed suspects after rash of Family Dollar robberies

The FBI and Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies are looking for the people responsible for at least six robberies at Family Dollar stores in Osceola, Orange and Polk counties.

The string of robberies happened between Sept. 24 and March 25, deputies said.

Deputies said the robberies usually start with one armed person walking into the store at closing time and demanding the employees open the safe.

The robber usually takes money and large amounts of cigarettes, deputies said.

In all the robberies, the armed person wears a black ski mask or bandana, dark clothing, backpacks and a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up, deputies said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 813-253-1000 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477.
