OSCEOLA COUNTY, Gla. — Fort Myers investigators hope a new clue in Central Florida can help them find a 9-year-old girl who has been missing for nearly two months.
Lee County deputies said a good Samaritan in Osceola County stopped to help Jorge Guerrero-Torres, the main suspect in Diana Alvares’s disappearance.
Investigators released a new picture in connection to the case, in hopes that it will lead them to that good Samaritan who might be able to help them with the case.
Timeline: Arrest of Jorge Guerrero-Torres
Guerrero-Torres, 28, once lived with Diana’s family.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office in Fort Myers released a photo of his Chevrolet Malibu, hoping someone will remember helping him when his car ran off the road in Osceola County.

It happened on State Road 60 between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on May 29.
The good Samaritan gave him a ride to a gas station.

Phone records show Guerrero-Torres left his home in Orlando the night before the young girl was reported missing, and headed south into the Fort Myers area.
Early the next day, his phone was then tracked back toward Lake Okeechobee. It was stationary for several hours in Yeehaw Junction.
The phone was eventually ditched on a road in Orlando. Deputies said they found child porn on the phone.
Deputies hope the picture of Guerrero-Torres’ vehicle will help jog someone’s memory, which could potentially help solve the case.
Guerrero-Torres faces federal pornography charges for the images found on his phone, and is still being held in the Lee County Jail.
During a recent jail visit, he told Diana's mother that he had nothing to do with the little girl's disappearance.
He also admitted to having child pornography on his phone, but said the pictures were not of Diana.
