Deputies: Man fatally shot at Super Bowl party in Sumter County

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. — A 34-year-old man was fatally shot early Monday during a Super Bowl party at a home near Webster, the Sumter County Sheriff's Office said.

Gunfire was reported shortly before 1 a.m. at a home on County Road 727 near County Road 723, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Michelle Keszey said.

Deputies found Tarence Jackson’s body at the home, Keszey said.

Investigators said Jackson was shot multiple times.

Deputies didn’t publicly identify the suspected gunman.

The shooting continues to be investigated.
