ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Two men seen holding guns in a rap video on YouTube that was shot at an Orange County apartment complex are now wanted for questioning in a murder.
The video, which shows the group flashing drugs and guns, got their families kicked out of the troubled Windsor Cove apartments.
The apartment complex is HUD-subsidized, which means there is a ban on gun possession.
On Wednesday, detectives said Ladarius Service and Johnathan Mitchell are persons of interest in the 2014 shooting death of Melkevious Lake.
Deputies said both men are believed to be heavily armed.
“There are numerous guns in these videos that are posted on YouTube, so I would say anybody interacting with them just be cautious,” said Cpl. Jamie Hoffman of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement sources told Channel 9 that both men are also suspects in the brazen gun heist earlier this month at the Central Florida Fairgrounds.
