Deputies: Missing Ocala toddler found safe

OCALA, Fla. — UPDATE: Kage Cassidy has been found and is safe, deputies said. Deputies did not release additional details.

EARLIER: The Marion County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing toddler who was ordered to be placed in state custody.

Kage Cassidy was last seen with his parents, Phillip Cassidy and Lisa White, on Wednesday at the Whispering Sands apartment complex on Southeast 50th Street in Ocala.

The Department of Children and Families had been conducting an investigation into Kage’s parents, who are heavy drug users, deputies said.

A judge issued an order Friday for DCF to take custody of the child because it is believed there is a “significant rise to harm” toward the toddler.

Kage is considered a missing and endangered juvenile.

Cassidy and White were seen driving a 1999 green Dodge Caravan with Florida tag 406-5US.

Anyone with information on Kage’s whereabouts is urged to call 911.

No Amber Alert has been issued.
