ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. — Authorities say a CSX train hit a 2-year-old child and a woman northeast of Tampa.
Deputies said the child died from his injuries.
There was a 2 year old boy hit by a train in Crystal Springs, Pasco County, and he has died. Our thoughts and prayers are with all involved.

Local news outlets are reporting the incident happened just before noon Monday in Zephyrhills.
Pasco County Sheriff's spokeswoman Melanie Snow said in an email the 26-year-old woman and the child were flown to area hospitals, where the child died.
The woman is in stable condition.
Deputies said the woman was babysitting the child.
The 26 year old woman was babysitting the 2 year old and both were injured. The 26 year old is in stable condition.

Officials did not release identifications of the victims. They said the Pasco County fire chief and sheriff's staff were at the scene.
