BAY LAKE, Fla. — A crash involving a Disney bus and an SUV injured several people near Disney’s Animal Kingdom Sunday.
Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Kim Montes said the crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Osceola Parkway and Buena Vista Drive.
Troopers said the SUV, driven by 34-year-old Winter Garden resident Ritesh Bhagani, was traveling north on Buena Vista Drive when witnesses saw Bhagani run a red light and strike the Disney bus that was traveling west on Osceola Parkway.
The Disney bus was carrying 19 passengers. Two were taken to Dr. Phillips Hospital with injuries.
FHP officials are investigating the cause of the crash and said charges are pending against Bhagani.
