ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Eyewitness News obtained dozens of court records detailing how neighbors rushed to help an Orange County woman after deputies said she was gunned down in front of her 3-year-old daughter.

The accused shooter is the woman's ex-boyfriend, Travis Bivins, who is due to appear in court for a hearing this week.

Court records show the couple's 3-year-old daughter was the only other person at the house on Rubens Court in August 2015 when Linda Lake was shot three times and left to die in the street in front of her home.

Interviews and 911 calls show Lake was dead by the time her neighbors got to her.

"The little girl just told one of the neighbors that her dad killed her mom," said a 911 caller.

Orange County deputies arrested Bivins and charged him with first-degree murder.

According to documents, a neighbor told police, "I said to my girlfriend, 'Oh my God, there's a bloody body in the middle of the road.’"

In another 911 call, a neighbor is heard talking to the child.

"What's your daddy's name honey? What's daddy's name?" a caller said.

The girl wasn't hurt, but appeared to be in shock and had trouble relaying information, officers said. Court records show Bivins had threatened to kill Lake about five months earlier.

Deputies said Bivins was living in Lake's home and driving her car.

She was shot to death in front of the home as she went to get into her car.

Transcripts show Bivins mentioned his lawyer and refused to give any information to police.

Transcripts show that toward the end of the interview, Bivins was "yawning" and "snoring."

Bivins pleaded not guilty and remains at the Orange County Jail.

The court has not set a trial date, but a status hearing is scheduled for Friday.
