Fire damages Orange County home, truck

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Fire damaged a home near Winter Park early Thursday.

Firefighters responded to the 4900 block of Tangerine Avenue around 4:30 a.m. after getting reports of a vehicle fire.

Neighbors told Eyewitness News they heard a possible explosion and went outside to investigate.

That’s when they said they saw their neighbor’s pickup truck in flames.

A WFTV crew arrived to find firefighters addressing obvious damage to both the truck and nearby home.

Orange County Fire Rescue did not confirm whether fire started in the truck before spreading to the house.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

According to neighbors, a resident was inside at the time of the fire, but made it out safely.
