Homicide investigation underway after children find woman's body in Daytona Beach park

Two children found a woman’s body in a Daytona Beach park and police said they believe her death to be suspicious.
The two kids found 31-year-old Jessica Raver’s body near the fields in Derbyshire Park around 2 p.m. Sunday.
Police said they are investigating the case as a homicide.
Nearby resident Waunell Edwards said she and her husband have lived in the area for 50 years and children regularly go to the fields at Derbyshire Park to play.
“Children are really impressionable, you know? They will probably need some counseling,” she said.
She watched on Sunday while officers taped off the field and investigators began examining tire tracks.
Police believe a car may have been involved in the woman's death and are reviewing surveillance video from the park.
Edwards said the death has neighbors on edge.
“If they found out what, who did it, I’d be happy,” she said.
The medical examiner is performing an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
