ORLANDO, Fla. — A hoverboard caught fire in an Orlando apartment Sunday, firefighters said.
Members of the Orlando Fire Department responded to the apartment on McFall Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday a 911 caller said there was smoke in the residents.
Crews said a hoverboard exploded and was extinguished before firefighters made it to the scene.
The resident of the home said the hoverboard was plugged into an outlet to charge, then there was a loud sound before a fire ball came from the toy.
No one was injured.
