Janine came to the Sunshine State by way of Virginia, where she spent her mornings tracking traffic and also hitting the streets covering news.
Prior to that, she spent five years in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she anchored the morning show and broke several stories.
Janine uncovered an alleged kick-beat list that tracked arrested persons beaten by police and called the city out on water waste during Stage 2 water restrictions, asking city leaders if they would cite themselves for the very same violations citizens would be charged a hefty fee for. They answered, "No."
Janine also confronted city leaders about their lax sex offender laws, which kept convicted sex offenders out of surrounding cities but left several neighborhoods in Corpus Christi overrun by people charged with sex crimes.
When not tackling important issues in her community, Janine enjoys chasing weather stories. She covered Hurricane Dolly in South Padre Island in 2008 and tracked tornadoes more times than she can count in her time in Alabama.
She lives in Orlando with her teenage son, Ayden, and Australian Shepard, Bärli.
If you see her around, stop and say hi!
