SANFORD, Fla. — George Zimmerman and his defense team will have a wait a while longer to find out when he'll stand trial for killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in February.
A hearing to set a trial date was scheduled for Wednesday, but Judge Kenneth Lester granted a motion to move the hearing to October 3.
Zimmerman is free on bond and has been ordered to stay in Seminole County.
He has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, and told police he shot Trayvon Martin in self-defense.
