The bullets struck Zimmerman’s vehicle, but did not hit him, police said. Zimmerman was cut by shattered glass, police said.
So far, potential jurors have been asked if they’re familiar with the area, if they own guns and their opinions about Zimmerman.
Many expressed negative feelings about Zimmerman who was acquitted of murder in the death of Trayvon Martin in Februrary 2012.
Apperson is charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault and shooting into a vehicle.
Apperson told investigators that Zimmerman pointed a gun at him first and threatened to kill him, a claim that Zimmerman has denied.
