Video shows boy smash glass beaker into student's face during fight

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Seminole high school fight was caught on camera as one student attacked a classmate with a glass beaker.

The video was recorded at Lake Brantley High School last week and uploaded to YouTube.

The video was labeled "Bully gets bottle smashed in his face," but administrators said it is not a case of bullying.

"I was like, 'Oh my God!  Is he dead?' I thought he was seriously hurt. I was wondering why he wasn't passed out on the ground," said sophomore Sharnell Edwards.

Edwards said she knows the students in the video and that the taller teen is a junior named Earl, but she said he was not bullying the freshman.

She said the two were just arguing about something leading up to the fight.

District officials said the student hit Earl with a glass science beaker.

Someone who claims to be the student who was hit in the face wrote under the YouTube video that he has never bullied the student in the video and had no intentions of hitting him.

"The blood is still there on the ground in building five. That is how bloody it was. It was horrible," said Edwards.

The teenager is being disciplined, but school officials will not release how because of student confidentiality.
