Man accused of killing mother of 6 wants to represent self

BUNNELL, Fla. — A man accused of killing a Flagler County mother of six insists he wants to represent himself during his trial.

Investigators said Joseph Bova shot and killed Zuheily Rosado, 32, while she was working at a Mobil Mart convenience store in Palm Coast in February.

On Tuesday, a judge ordered a third mental evaluation before deciding on any motion pertaining to Bova's legal representation.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports two experts have already examined Bova and reached differing opinions. His next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 2.

Surveillance video helped link Bova to the killing. He was arrested almost seven months later in Boca Raton. His family hired a South Florida lawyer but Bova refused his services.

On Tuesday, he reiterated his desire to represent himself.

Rosado was a mother if six.
