Man arrested on charges of burglarizing rooms at Disney resort

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An Orlando man was arrested Jan. 21 on charges of burglarizing more than 20 rooms at a Disney resort, authorities said.

Jake Blair, 25, had been burglarizing rooms at Saratoga Springs Resort since late December, deputies said.

Deputies said Blair gained access to the rooms through a rear sliding glass door.

A Disney security investigator called authorities after he saw a man and a woman looking into several rooms and tugging on the sliding doors. He said the woman acted as a lookout.

Blair and Ninoska Guillen were arrested by deputies in the Disney Springs area.

Blair was carrying a backpack and Guillen a purse. Deputies found that they contained electronic equipment, including a laptop, seven iPads and an iPhone, which authorities determined belonged to victims from two other burglaries at the Old Key West Resort.

The actions of Blair and Guillen, as observed by the Disney security investigator, and the electronics found in their possession were consistent with every other burglary at the Saratoga Springs Resort, deputies said.

Blair is facing charges of attempted burglary of structure.
