Wrong twin ID'd as victim in Daytona Beach nightclub shooting

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — An autopsy conducted Monday has revealed that the victim from Saturday’s shooting outside of Papi’s Bottle Club in Daytona Beach wasn’t who authorities initially believed.

Deputies said there was a fight inside the club just before it closed and that the fight continued in the parking lot as patrons were leaving the establishment.

According to investigators, someone involved in the fight pulled out a gun and opened fire.

The victim was initially identified as 28-year-old Terrell A. Lesane, but the Medical Examiner's Office said Monday it was Lesane's twin brother, Jeriell A. Lesane, who was killed.

The positive identification was made Monday through a fingerprint comparison.

So far, no arrests have been made, but deputies released a surveillance image of a person of interest who they want to identify and speak to.
