Man fatally shot at Pine Castle apartment complex

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A 28-year-old man was fatally shot early Sunday at an apartment complex in Pine Castle, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

The wounded man was found lying on his back shortly before 5:15 a.m. in the Greenwich Park Apartments near Winegard and Sand Lake roads, Orange County Lt. Don Woods said.

Deputies performed CPR on the man until paramedics arrived, Woods said.

The man was brought to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

“Witnesses stated the victim was involved in a physical fight with the suspect when the suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim multiple times,” Woods said. “[The] suspect then left the area in a vehicle.”

The victim wasn’t publicly identified.

The gunman remains at large.

No other details were provided.
