Skeletal remains found inside tent in Ocala

OCALA, Fla. — Police are investigating after skeletal remains were found inside a tent near the railroad tracks in Ocala, authorities said.
 
Investigators said the remains were found on Sunday near NE 35th Street and had likely been in the tent for about six months to a year.
 
Authorities said a skull could be seen inside, partially covered by a blanket.  Investigators said the other bones were scattered around the camp site.
 
The name of the victim has not been released.

Officers said there were no indications of foul play, but the Ocala Police Department is investigating.

Police said the cause of the death is unknown.
