Man shot during fight outside Clermont Denny's

CLERMONT, Fla. — A man is in the hospital after being shot outside a Clermont Denny’s Sunday morning, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies went to the restaurant at 25 Town Center Boulevard around 6:10 a.m. and were told two customers got into a fight that spilled outside and ended with a shooting in the parking lot.

The man who was shot was airlifted to a hospital. Deputies did not know his condition.

Deputies said the suspect fled in an unknown direction and is still being sought.
