Nearly a month later, still no sign of mom, children's bodies

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — It's been nearly a month since a Volusia County mother and her children vanished.

Yessenia Suarez's family held a news conference asking for help on Tuesday.

The family pleaded with Suarez's husband, who allegedly confessed to killing their daughter, for answers.

Suarez's parents spoke through a letter to Luis Toledo, who they day knows what happened to their grandchildren and their daughter.

"We as a family are asking you to grant us that one wish, and that you can find it in your heart where we can find our family," said Suarez's mother, Felicia Perez.

Toledo allegedly told Volusia County detectives that he hit and killed his wife during an argument.

That was three weeks ago.

They haven't found her body or her children, Michael and Thalia, who disappeared with her.

Investigators said Toledo told them he did not kill the children, but someone else did.

He hasn't told detectives where he put his wife's body or what happened to the 8-and 9-year-old.

"I can't even imagine when will be the next time we will even smile at each other," said Perez.

Texas EquuSearch joined the search for the bodies of Suarez and her children on Saturday, the same day the biological father of Michael and Thalia Otto discussed the case with WFTV.

"Those are my kids that I brought into this world and he took them from me," Michael Otto said.

Michael Otto was emotional as he discussed the disappearances of his of children and their mother. He said what keeps him going is finding Suarez and the children, who investigators believe are dead.
