MAITLAND, Fla. — A new Crunch Fitness location will open in Maitland this week following a $5 million investment.
Crunch Maitland will begin welcoming members at 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at 701 Maitland Boulevard, Suite 400.
The 43,000-square-foot facility will become the company’s 63rd location in Florida and is expected to create more than 70 jobs in training, fitness instruction, sales, operations, member services and club leadership.
What the new gym will offer
The Maitland location will include strength and cardio equipment, Olympic squat racks, performance turf and a dedicated high-intensity interval training area.
Separate studios will offer cycling, hot yoga, boxing and abdominal and glute workouts.
Premium recovery amenities will include:
- HydroMassage
- Tanning
- Saunas
- A Frost Locker
- An infrared sauna
- Contrast therapy
Company officials said it will be the first Crunch location in the Orlando area to offer the Frost Locker and infrared sauna contrast-therapy experience.
“Crunch Maitland is an important step in continuing to provide a premium fitness experience to the entire Orlando community at an affordable price,” CR Fitness Holdings CEO Tony Scrimale said.
Grand opening planned
A grand opening celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22.
The event will include group fitness demonstrations, personal-training specials, local vendors and giveaways.
Memberships start at $9.99 per month, according to the company.
CR Fitness Holdings plans to open additional Florida locations in Kissimmee West, Viera, Haines City and St. Cloud.
