Ocala motorcyclist dies in crash on County Road 200

OCALA, Fla. — An Ocala man died in a motorcycle crash on County Road 200 Saturday evening, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Jack Reid, 64, was driving on CR 200 in front of a gold Chevrolet Blazer around 7:30 p.m. when he swerved for an unknown reason just before the road's intersection with Northwest 44th Street, troopers said.

As a result, the Blazer hit the motorcycle, troopers said.

Reid was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

He was not wearing a helmet, according to the crash report.

The driver of the Blazer was not hurt in the crash, troopers said.
