OCSO: Inmate strips off jumpsuit during ill-fated escape attempt

ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orange County inmate stripped off her jumpsuit and briefly escaped from jail early Saturday before deputies were able to apprehend her, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jail officials alerted deputies that Alexandra Pablos, 26, had escaped around 2:45 a.m.

Guards locked down the jail after finding Pablos’ jumpsuit near the inside of a perimeter fence.

Multiple deputies and detectives, including the sheriff's office helicopter and K-9 unit, responded to the jail.

The helicopter crew spotted someone hiding on the property of Paver’s Depot across from the jail, deputies said.

A K-9 unit searched the business and found Pablos hiding near a semitruck on the property.

Deputies apprehended Pablos, who received a police dog bite wound to her left buttock, deputies said.

Pablos was originally booked into the Orange County jail on a burglary charge at the end of May.
