Orange County mother accused of producing, distributing child porn internationally

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An Orange County woman is accused of producing child porn inside her home and sharing it with men across the country.

Canadian authorities caught a man with child porn and his social media accounts led to Lauren Diaz, investigators said.

Homeland Security investigators allege Diaz, 37, was producing the pornography inside her east Orange County home and sharing it online with men interested in child sex.

Diaz’s mother, Yolanda Gear, owns the home and said she doesn’t believe the allegations.

“They just came in, did the search warrant and arrested her, that’s all. Nobody said much of anything to me,” said Gear.

Investigators believe Diaz shot the video herself and connected with others by using the Kik app to send the video files.

The Canadian man who was found with child porn accessed the videos through Kik, so when he was caught, Canadian officials notified U.S. investigators.

“She’s a really good person, a good mom. Kids really adore her,” Gear said.

Diaz’s two children are now in the care of the Department of Children and Families.
