'I heard a lot of explosions’: Man dies after RV fire in Orange County, firefighters say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A man is dead after an RV caught fire Saturday evening in the Orlovista area, according to Orange County firefighters.

The fire severely damaged an RV and a vehicle on the property but did not damage the home, firefighters said.

Firefighters said the RV was fully involved when they arrived and they worked to keep the flames from reaching the home.

April Galloway, a neighbor, said it sounded like something blew up.

“I heard a lot of explosions,” Galloway said.

Fie Rescue has not confirmed what started the fire, but officials said propane tanks were found around the RV.

Firefighters said one person was found dead inside the RV.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
