Orlando International Airport to unveil live mascot Annie the Astronaut

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando International Airport will officially introduce a live mascot version of “Annie the Astronaut” during a public unveiling ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m.

The ceremony marks the first time the mascot will appear as a live character at the airport.

Annie has served as a digital ambassador across the airport’s terminals since 2017.

In her digital format, she has assisted travelers with wayfinding, security guidance and general passenger information.

As an in-person mascot, Annie will greet travelers, pose for photos and serve as an ambassador at airport and community events throughout Central Florida.

The public unveiling will take place in the Level 3 Atrium near the Hyatt Fountain area in Terminal A/B at one Jeff Fuqua Blvd.

The event will feature remarks, appearances by mascots from community partners, interactive activities, photo opportunities and themed giveaways.
