PCSO: Man forges law enforcement letterhead in attempt to keep job at Reddy Ice after arrest

LAKELAND, Fla. — A Polk County man is facing more charges after allegedly, with the help of his girlfriend, forging law enforcement letterhead in an attempt to keep his job at Reddy Ice after being arrested.

The Lakeland Police Department arrested Marco Sullivan, 32, in late July for driving with a suspended license and a warrant out of Orange County.

Sullivan’s girlfriend, Martisha Wilson, was also arrested on an Orange County warrant.

Sullivan was held without bond in the Polk County jail on the Orange County warrant.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the couple came up with the idea to send a letter, on Sheriff’s Office letterhead, to Reddy Ice so that Sullivan might keep his job while away.

“Marco Sullivan is out doing special work detail which is confidential for Polk County Sheriff Office ATF Investigation Unit, he will be on the unit for 6 months or less,” the couple wrote in the letter.

The couple signed the letter as “Mike Singleton,” though no one by that name works at the Sheriff’s Office.

“Here's a bit of advice - if you're going to try to dupe someone into thinking you're working with law enforcement, you should probably use a real name and maybe not have misspelled words,” said Sheriff Grady Judd.

Sullivan and Wilson are each facing a charge of criminal use of personal identification.
