ORLANDO, Fla. — Police said they’ve found and arrested the man accused of breaking into a woman’s home and touching her while she was showering.
Michael Yensi, 28, was charged with burglary, assault, battery and indecent exposure after his arrest Friday.
Last month, police said the victim was taking a shower in her home on Washington Street in downtown Orlando after going for a run.
The suspect broke into the home, reached into the shower and touched her while he was masturbating, reports said.
“I walk by myself all the time. I thought it was safe, so it’s kind of shocking,” said Thornton Park resident Lauren Sparks. “Good to know it’s not on the streets anymore.”
The victim was able to push the suspect out of her home and saw him run off on Mills Avenue.
Residents said they were grateful for the diligence of Orlando police.
“I see their presence and they’re always out directing and I see it. So well done boys,” said resident Heather Burton.
The city’s sex crimes detectives identified the suspect in a composite sketch through an FBI database hit and its fugitive unit apprehended Yensi.
